四方田犬彦(エッセイスト/批評家/詩人)

1953年2月20日、大阪に生まれる。東京大学で宗教学を、同大学院で比較文学を学ぶ。長らく明治学院大学教授として映画学を講じ、コロンビア大学、ボローニャ大学、清華大学、中央大学(ソウル)などで客員教授・客員研究員を歴任する。現在は映画、文学、漫画、演劇、料理と、幅広い文化現象をめぐり、著述に専念。学問的著作から身辺雑記をめぐるエッセイまでを執筆する。近著として『犬たちの肖像』(集英社)、『台湾の歓び』(岩波書店)、『土地の精霊』(筑摩書房)、『母の母、その彼方に』(新潮社)、『日本映画は信頼できるか』(現代思潮新社)。詩集に『わが煉獄』(港の人)、翻訳にボウルズ『優雅な獲物』『蜘蛛の家』、イルスト『猥褻なD夫人』、パゾリーニ『パゾリーニ詩集』などがある。『月島物語』で斎藤緑雨文学賞を、『映画史への招待』でサントリー学芸賞を、『モロッコ流謫』で伊藤整文学賞を、『ルイス・ブニュエル』で芸術選奨文部科学大臣賞を受けた。現在は親鸞論を準備中。

小原真史(映像作家/キュレーター)

1978年愛知県生まれ。2004年「中平卓馬試論」で第10回重森弘庵写真評論賞を受賞。IZU PHOTO MUSEUM研究員として「荒木経惟写真集展 アラーキー」、「宮崎学 自然の鉛筆」展、「増山たづ子 すべて写真になる日まで」展などを担当。著書に『富士幻景ー近代日本と不治の病』、共著に『時の宙づりー生・写真・死』、『戦争と平和ー〈報道写真〉が伝えたかった日本』など。

Inuhiko Yomota (Essayist / Critic / Poet)

Inuhiko Yomota is a Japanese author, cultural essayist, born in February 20, 1953, Osaka. Yomota graduated from the University of Tokyo in Religious Studies, and continued in their graduate school to study Comparative Literature. He had been a professor of film studies at Meiji Gakuin University and he was also a guest professor and researcher at Columbia University in the United States, the University of Bologna in Italy, Tsinghua University in China, and Chung-Ang University in South Korea. Currently he is devoted to writing about a wide range of cultural phenomena including films, literature, manga, theater and cuisine. He writes from the academic work to memories on his private life. Some of his recent works include “Inu tachi no shozo (Portraits of Dogs)” (Shueisha), “Taiwan no Yorokobi (Pleasure of Taiwan)” (Iwanami Shoten), “Tochi no Seirei (Spirit of the Land)” (Chikuma Shobo), “Haha no Haha-, Sono Kanata Ni (Mother of Mother, and to the Beyond)” (Shinchosha) and “Nihon Eiga Ha Shinrai Dekiruka (Can We Trust Japanese Movies?)” (Gendaishichoshinsha).
For Poetry, “Waga Rengoku (My Purgatorium)” (Minatonohito), and for translations there are “The Delicate Prey”, “The Spider’s House” by Paul Bowles, “The Obscene Madame D” by Hilda Hilst and “La meglio gioventu” by Pier Paolo Pasolini. For prizes, he received Suntory Prize for Social Sciences and Humanities for “Eigashi e no shotai (Introduction to History of Motion Pictures)”, Itosei Bungaku Prize for “Morocco Rutaku” and the Ministry of Education in the Art Encouragement Prizes for “Luis Buñuel.” Currently he is working on the thesis on Shinran.

Masashi Kohara (Film Artist / Curator)

Born in 1978, Masashi Kohara has worked as a filmmaker and a curator. In 2004, he was awarded the 10th Koen Shigemori Photography Critic Award for “A Note on Takuma Nakahira.” As a curator at the Izu Photo Museum, Kohara organized “Nobuyoshi Araki Photobook Exhibition: Ararchy,” “Manabu Miyazaki: The Pencil of Nature,” “Tazuko Masuyama: Until Everything Becomes a Photograph” among others. His books include Suspending Time: Life—Photography—Death, Visions of Fuji: A Portrait of the Japanese People as Seen Through Mt. Fuji, and War and Peace: Images of Japan As Seen in Hōdō Shashin (Reportage Photography).
