川田喜久治（写真家）

1933年茨城県生まれ。1955年立教大学経済学部卒業。同年新潮社に入社し週刊新潮の創刊時よりグラビア撮影などを担当する。1957年、第１回「10人の眼」展（小西六フォトギャラリー）へ出品。1959年に新潮社を退職しフリーのカメラマンとなり、初個展「海」（富士フォトサロン）を開催。同年、佐藤明、丹野章、奈良原一高、東松照明、細江英公らと共に「VIVO」を結成する。1961年に個展「地図」（富士フォトサロン）を開催。1965年に最高傑作と言われる写真集『地図』（美術出版社）が出版され、2005年には復刻版が月曜社より出版された。

吉野弘章（東京工芸大学芸術学部教授）

1965年東京生まれ。1980年代より写真専門のコマーシャルギャラリーで展覧会企画、作家マネージメント、写真作品のディーリングに携わる。2003年に写真市場についての研究で日本写真協会新人賞、日本写真芸術学会賞を受賞。現在、川田喜久治や森山大道など、国内外作家の1万点以上のプリントを所蔵する、東京工芸大学写大ギャラリーのディレクターを務める。

A program that invites curators and critics from both Japan and overseas to inform and discuss the current situation of photography in various places throughout the world. The program provides visitors with the opportunity to learn about the current and future of fine art photography from a series of professionals with a deep and well-versed knowledge in the history of Japanese photography.

Kikuji Kawada (Photographer)

Kikuji Kawada (b. 1933, Ibaraki) completed his BA in Economy at Rikkyo University and joined Shinchosha in 1955. He worked on gravure shootings for Weekly Shincho from its first issue. In 1957, he participated in the exhibition Eyes of Ten at Konishiroku Photo Gallery. He left Shinchosha and became a freelance photographer in 1959. He also had a first solo exhibition Sea at Fuji Photo Salon, and co-founded the VIVO collective with Akira Sato, Eikoh Hosoe, Ikko Narahara, Akira Tanno and Shomei Tomatsu in the same year. In 1961, he had the exhibition The Map at Fuji Photo Salon. The photobook The Map was published by Bijutsu Shuppansha in 1965 and it is regarded as the masterpiece. The Map was reprinted by Getsuyosha in 2005.

Hiroaki Yoshino (Professor of Faculty of Arts Department of Photography, Tokyo Polytechnic University)
Hiroaki Yoshino (b.1965, Tokyo) was involved in curation, artist management, and dealing of photographic works in a commercial photography gallery from 1980s. In 2003 he received The Photographic Society of Japan: Newcomer Award, and the Japan Society for Arts and History of Photography Award. He currently works as the director at the SHADAI GALLERY at Faculty of Arts, Tokyo Polytechnic University that has collected over 10,000 prints, such as the works by Daido Moriyama and Kikuji Kawada.
