FAPA設立趣旨

日本芸術写真協会（Fine-Art Photography Association）は、芸術写真、映像文化の振興と普及、日本芸術写真マーケットの確立と発展、若手写真家への支援と人材の育成、現役写真家が行う教育プログラム、日本人写真家の国際的な認知度の向上などを目的として2013年12月に設立されました。2014年には、芸術写真を取り扱うギャラリーと出版社、書店が主体となり、一般社団法人としての活動をスタートしました。

FAPA Mission and Goals

The Fine-Art Photography Association (FAPA hereafter) was founded in December 2013 to establish and promote the photographic arts and visual culture in general and Japanese fine art photography in particular. To realize these aims, FAPA will foster and support young photographers and help Japanese photographers, and the educational programs they operate, achieve better international recognition. FAPA, as a general incorporated association operated by galleries, publishers, and booksellers that handle fine art photography, started its activity in 2014.

1. 写真フェアの運営（毎年9 月に開催）　
2. 協会主催の展覧会（年間2 回開催）
3. ウェブサイトでの情報配信
4. 日本人写真家の海外での展覧会開催への後援
5. 会報の編集発行（年間2 回発行）
6. 海外のフェアに参加する際の助成
7. ワークショップ、アーティスト・トーク（年間4〜5 回）
8. ポートフォリオ・レヴュー（年間1〜2 回）

FAPA Primary Business Operations

1. Operation of photography fair (to be held annually in September)
2. Organization of exhibitions (twice a year)
3. Provision of news regarding photographic activities via the official website
4. Support of Japanese photographers’ overseas exhibitions
5. Editing and publishing of semi-yearly bulletin
6. Subsidization of Japanese photographers and galleries participating in photography fairs overseas
7. Implementation of workshops and artists’ talks (four to five times a year)
8. Implementation of portfolio reviews (once or twice a year)
