1994年開廊。以後20年間にわたり、現代写真のありようを問う展覧会を続ける。荒木経惟や森山大道、東松照明など日本を代表する写真家や、新進気鋭の日本人作家を国外に紹介すると同時に、国際的に評価の高い海外作家の展覧会を数多く開催。東京に3箇所のスペースを擁し、2014年6月にパリに新スペースを開廊。

Taka Ishii Gallery opened in 1994 with an exhibition program devoted to exploring the conceptual foundations and implications of contemporary (photo) graphic practice. The gallery has since exhibited and published the work of contemporary master Japanese and foreign artists and supported the development of younger artists. In June 2014, the gallery inaugurated an exhibition space in Paris, a fourth gallery in addition to its three gallery spaces in Tokyo.
